Somo Kitchen & Sushi was created by partners Nino Elgheryany and his team after more than 25 years in the restaurant industry. They opened the restaurant during the global pandemic with a simple goal: to spread love and optimism through great food. Named after the word Somo, meaning "ancestor," the restaurant blends modern style with respect for Japanese culinary traditions in Providence's Jewelry District.
